Create stunning flowery cupcake designs in this class. Use pretty, muted pastel colours to produce spring-themed designs.

Pretty Pastels Class

11 - 4:30pm, £90

This class focuses on using pretty muted 'pastel' colours to produce beautiful flowery cupcakes designed with Spring in mind.

You will work with 12 freshly baked vanilla cupcakes and be shown how to:

  • Blend a perfect palette of pastel colours and shown which edible pastes are used for this
  • Apply smooth butter cream to your cupcakes
  • Create beautiful 'domed' effect cupcakes and cover them flawlessly with smooth fondant
  • Make a large rose using florist paste straight onto a cupcake
  • Make small delicate hand made roses using florist paste
  • Make a variety of other flowers including tiny blossoms and primroses
  • Highlight certain parts of your flowers and decorations using rich 'satin' dusts to make them really stand out
  • Make beautiful embossed butterflies
  • You will be shown how and where to place your flowers and butterflies on your cupcakes to give them a full and richly decorated look

You will take home with you:

  • 12 beautiful pastel coloured cupcakes decorated by you
  • A copy of the Le Beau Cake cupcake recipe
  • Details of the equipment used and recommended stockists so you can put all you have learnt into practice

This class is suitable for students at all levels. All of the equipment is provided for you, but please bring an apron, notebook and pen. Refreshments will be served. Please also bring your own lunch.

The class is held in Hertford, Hertfordshire from 11am to 4:30pm. Ample free parking is available. The nearest mainline train station is Hertford East. There will be a maximum of 5 people at each class.
