Roses, Pearls and Bows Class

11 - 4:30pm, £95

This class will teach you how to make beautiful roses, pearls, bows and ruffled flowers (as pictured above) using florist paste. 12 freshly baked cupcakes and all of the materials are provided for you, you only need to bring an apron and a light lunch.

You will learn how to:

  • Make a beautiful large 'vintage style' rose
  • Make the smaller 'open' roses
  • Make beautiful tiny ruffled blossoms and larger flowers using Le Beau Cake's simple but effective technique
  • Make gorgeous lustred pearls
  • Make beautiful striped bows and learn clever ways to make them look perfect!
  • Paint on flowers using gold lustre paint
  • Mix up a muted vintage colour palette and which colours are used to achieve this look
  • Place your flowers and the rules on how best to enhance your cakes this way
  • Make realistic looking leaves and how to make the vein details on them
  • You will be shown how to create beautiful large 'domed' tops on your cupcakes and the best way to do this
  • Lustre your cupcakes perfectly so they look even in colour

You will spend the day with up to 5 other people and will go home delighted with what you have achieved. You will also have plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

You will take home with you:

  • 12 beautiful cupcakes decorated by you
  • the Le Beau Cake gorgeous cupcake recipe for you to try at home
  • details of the equipment used and recommended stockists, so you can put all you have learnt into practice!

This class is suitable for students at all levels. All of the equipment is provided for you, but please bring an apron, notebook and pen. Refreshments will be served. Please also bring your own lunch.

The class is held in Hertford, Hertfordshire from 11am to 4:30pm. Ample free parking is available. The nearest mainline train station is Hertford East. There will be a maximum of 6 people at each class.

Our classes owe part of their success to the small group sizes and our excellent references from happy customers and class participants. We kindly ask that you double-check your availability before booking a specific date. We are unable to offer a refund for cancellation of a class. In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled by us, a full refund will be given.
