About Le Beau Cake


Le Beau Cake was created in 2009 in reaction to the growing trend for pretty and personalised cupcakes.

From appearing with my cupcakes at fetes and events, to baking like mad and securing orders, I kept being asked 'how do you make these?' From there, the progression towards running my own cake decorating classes was very natural.

I have taught hundreds of people over the years to make and decorate their own beautiful cakes, with students coming from as far as Mexico, the USA and the United Arab Emirates for private one-on-one classes.

In recent years, I have expanded my skills and interests into chocolate making. I've taken courses at the Slattery School Of Excellence and with top chocolatier Andrew Thwaite, amongst others. Having seen the excitement and effect working with chocolate has on people at private workshops and childrens parties I have done, I am delighted to now be in a position to offer these regularly.

I love teaching people to make beautiful cakes, or see them having fun at a chocolate workshop, knowing that they have gone home with cakes or bundles of chocolate that taste as good as they look. I have only ever used the finest Nielson Massey vanilla and top quality ingredients in my cakes. Quality Belgian couverture chocolate is used in all classes / workshops.

In the future, I look forward to designing more cake classes to follow the seasons and special occasions, as well as some different chocolate workshops. I am looking forward to teaching people how to make gorgeous chocolate truffles in a whole host of flavours, and to work with chocolate in a more specialised way.
