This class focuses on using a 'vintage' colour palette to obtain colours that are more suited to creating a 'vintage style' for your flowers and decorations. You will be taught how to create 12 beautiful cupcakes decorated in the style shown.
Vintage and 'Shabby Chic' styles are loved here at Le Beau Cake, and many of our cupcakes and cakes are created with this look in mind. We have lots of experience and great ideas to help you if you want to achieve a 'vintage' themed tea party, wedding or event. In fact, not long ago Vivien from Le Beau Cake used vintage as the inspiration for her own wedding. She would be delighted to share her many tips and ideas on how to achieve the look, and where to go to for bargain bits and pieces to bring your whole vintage theme together for you!
This Vintage Cupcakes class will show you:
How to make beautiful 'pearls' to adorn your cakes, and what you need to use to achieve the 'pearlised' effect
How to make beautiful roses using a simple but clever method
How to make beautiful flowers and how to accent them with 'lustre powders' and where to highlight them to give a vintage feel to them
You will be shown how to emboss fondant and what to use to give a beautiful 'lace effect' to your cupcakes
How to choose 'vintage' style colours and how to colour and get the best out of using florist paste
You will spend the day with up to 4 other people and will go home delighted with what you have achieved. You will also have plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

This cake class is held in Hertford, Hertfordshire. Ample free parking is available. The nearest mainline train station is Hertford East. Refreshments will be served. Please bring an apron. All of our classes and workshops are suitable for complete beginners.
